Process of Creating Storybook Page
To start our storybook off we had to create a plot diagram. A plot diagram is a tool that is commonly used to organize a story into certain segments. My traid worked together to come up main characters, plots, climaxes, trsolutions, etc. After multiple try's we got a refined diagram approved and could begin designing characters. Making the characters was a lttle difficult because we only had a limited number of colors, and it hadto beeasy to draw and appealing to a kid. The three main characters in ourbook were Super Juan, Peppi the Pig, and Stewy the Snake. The next step was to make our story oard. I had to roughly follow our plot diagram and consist of a least 4 conflicts. The story board was a series of rough sketches depicting the pages of our story. After our Story board was approved we drew character outlines and used those to draw consistant characters on our picture book rought draft images from the story board. With the story board completed we began writing our rough draft story text. Writing the story was difficult because we had to use sensory details to make our story show and not tell. The draft tok multiple taecher and peer revisions. The images got critique as well but near the two week deadline we had a sudden chnge in our writtung and so had to take out multiple drawings and redraw new scenes. Coloring then as welll took another week along with a finalisedstory. To finish it off we [ublished the book on word editing the text to fit on the mages andwe were done.
